About

Sloane Walker (born 2005) is a graphic design major from Decatur, Illinois, currently studying at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Surrounded by creativity from a young age through her grandparents, parents, and a background in dance, Walker has always been immersed in the arts. With experience in painting, textiles, and traditional art, she is now developing her skills in digital media and design. Walker plans to pursue a career in graphic design, blending her artistic roots with modern creative practices.

As a graphic design major, I create work that blends traditional art with digital design. I enjoy using textiles, painting, and Adobe Creative Cloud to experiment with both physical and digital processes. Running my own handmade textiles business has also given me the chance to connect creativity with entrepreneurship, turning original ideas into wearable art.

I chose graphic design because I want to build a career where I can combine design, problem-solving, and visual communication. Whether through branding, illustration, or experimental projects, I hope my work reflects both the craftsmanship I grew up with and the design skills I am developing.
